Mayor Michael Bloomberg is now reaching out to New Yorkers on Twitter.
For the first time Tuesday, the mayor sent out messages on his campaign's account on the social networking site.
The mayor made comments on his meetings with Governor Paterson and the MTA.
"It's new technology. You gotta try everything and see," Bloomberg said. "One of the problems is understanding the new world all the time, all of us have to, and if you want to be part of it you gotta keep trying everything, which I'm doing."
The campaign of Bill Thompson, Bloomberg's leading Democratic opponent, has its own Twitter page, but there's no word whether the candidate himself will send out messages.
