Former Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion Junior has paid a $10,000 fine to the Conflicts of Interest Board.

According to the board, Carrion admitted to hiring an architect in 2006 to design a porch and balcony for his City Island home.

The company was seeking approval for the Boricua Village development project, which required his approval.

Investigators say it took two years for Carrion to be billed for the work.

Carrion said he did not intend to gain a benefit from the project.

He currently works for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
