Police say the body of a woman was discovered on the roof of a Bronx apartment building Wednesday night.
Investigators say they made the discovery after responding to an apartment building on Marion Avenue in the Fordham section.
A woman was reported missing who lived in the same building and police have taken that person's boyfriend into custody for violating an order of protection.
Investigators are not saying, however, whether the dead woman and the missing woman are the same person.
Residents say they were stunned at the news.
"They say that she was burnt and cut off and sliced up and so many stuff that I can't imagine that. I don't want to even see it," said one resident.
"I'm sad. Something like that shouldn't happen to any human being. Regardless of how much you despise them or have problems or relationship issues or whatever," said another resident.
Police have not identified the victim or the missing woman.
