NY1 VIDEO: The principal and assistant principal of a Brooklyn school are under fire for what city officials say are several acts of misconduct.

The DOE says it's investigating Principal Jonathan Straughn of PS 276 in Canarsie for allegedly grabbing a student and dragging him out of his office.

Officials say he then yelled at the boy's relatives when they asked what was going on.

Investigators say Straughn lied to investigators about the incident, and tried to retaliate against other staffers who acted as witnesses against him.

The school's Assistant Principal, Maizelin Knowlin, is accused of sending her three kids to city public schools even though she lives in New Jersey.

Both Straughn and Knowlin face departmental hearings.

Knowlin could be made to reimburse the city for her kids attending school.
