Some future marathoners got a chance Thursday to train with the experts.

Students at PS 102 in Harlem exercised with some of the athletes taking part in the ING New York City Marathon on Sunday.

This is the 12th annual Run with Champions.

Over the last five years, students at the school have racked up 250,000 miles running.

The marathoners say they hope to inspire the students to continue these healthy habits.

"This is a way that we truly can give back to the community. Hopefully we have a lot of these kids running the marathon some day. It's about walking the walk not talking the talk. This will be my third year running the marathon in New York City and I'm excited," said Andrew Baldwin, a doctor and marathon participant.

The students also had a chance to ask the athletes questions on how to stay healthy and active.
