The new trucks, complete with ice cream truck jingles, will be circling the city handing out meals until August 27th.

The meal program has been run by the Department of Education for more than 30 years, helping students 18 and under get a healthy meal at various pools, schools, parks, and other locations throughout the city, when school isn't in session.

Last summer, the program gave out seven-million meals.
