A school for the deaf in Manhattan will not have to share its space with another school.

Earlier this month, parents, students and teachers at PS 347 met to oppose a plan that would move the Clinton Middle School into their building.

Critics of the plan said with a school full of students with special needs they need all of their space.

But it seems the New York Archdiocese has come to the rescue.

According to City Council Speaker Christine Quinn's office, the Clinton Middle School will move into the now closed Saint Michael's Academy in Hell's Kitchen.

The Panel for Educational Policy made the decision Tuesday.

The school will be housed there until its permanent home on East 15th Street is ready.
