The Department of Education says there's now a deal in the works to bring vending machines stocked with healthier snacks and drinks.
The agreement means the city is willing to say goodbye to the lucrative deal it made with Snapple six years ago, and fight the child obesity problem head on.
The new deal will bring in less money, but it promises snack machines packed with baked and reduced-fat chips, along with treats with reduced sugar and salt.
