The Frank Sinatra School of the Arts in Astoria, Queens received an extra dose of star power for the class of 2009's commencement on Friday.

Hollywood's Bruce Willis served as keynote speaker, but it was Astoria-born singer Tony Bennett who stole the show.

The commencement ceremony was held in the school's new building, the Tony Bennett Concert Hall, and the singer thrilled graduates and their friends by personally testing out the acoustics.

Bennett said he's proud of what students at the school are accomplishing.

"The ceremony today was unbelievable - the enthusiasm and the spirit of the students who graduated with such success," said Bennett.

Bennett is one of the school's founders and was on hand for the opening in 2001.

The school offers arts programs to students who are accepted based on an audition process.
