Jury selection began Tuesday in the trial of an elevator operator accused of killing a Manhattan building cleaner and hiding her body in an air conditioning duct.
Joseph Pabon is charged with murder in the death of Eridania Rodriguez in July 2009.
Days after the 46-year-old mother of three disappeared, her body was found duct taped in the ventilation system of 2 Rector Street, the building where she and Pabon both worked.
Police say his DNA was found under her fingernail.
The Staten Island man pleaded not guilty during his arraignment in 2009.
