A Staten Island police officer accused of fabricating charges against a man is ready to admit wrongdoing.
Officer Michael Daragjati is expected to enter a guilty plea at his next court hearing on January 24.
Prosecutors say Daragjati arrested a man in Stapleton last April even though the man never committed a crime. He then allegedly bragged about it and used racial slurs during several phone calls.
Daragjati faces a maximum of 20 years in prison.
