The State Board of Regents unanimously voted Tuesday to close Kingsbridge Innovative Design Charter School in the Bronx.
The charter school opened only eight months ago.
State officials say a series of bad operational and financial decisions left the school without enough funding to even finish the year.
Parents and school administrators said they were not given a shot to improve.
The school has already gone through two principals, and nearly half the teaching staff was laid off in March.
