The Brooklyn man accused of pushing a police officer over a railing to his death has been indicted on 41 counts for past domestic violence incidents involving his ex-girlfriend.
Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes announced the indictment today against George Villanueva, 42, on charges including assault, stalking and aggravated harassment.
The district attorney says the charges stem from seven separate incidents.
The indictment alleges Villanueva violated four orders of protection, attacked his ex-girlfriend Kim Dykstra and threatened to kill her.
Villanueva is also charged with aggravated murder in connection with the death of Police Officer Alain Schaberger.
Schaberger and two other officers were responding to a domestic violence incident at Dykstra's home in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn.
Police say when Villanueva resisted arrest, he pushed Schaberger over a railing. The officer fell nine feet to his death.
