The World Trade Center Memorial is doing something new to honor the memory of the victims of the terror attacks.
This week, workers at the National September 11th Memorial and Museum started placing white roses next to the names of the victims on their birthday.
"These are individuals. These are people that lived robust lives, and they were taken from them in a horrible tragedy," said Anthony Guido of the National September 11th Memorial and Museum. "So this is just one more way of us trying to pay homage to those individuals and let people know that these were people who had birthdays just like you and I. And this is something we'll do to commemorate them on their birthday every year."
The idea was suggested by a museum volunteer.
Officials say the public leaves tributes of their own on a daily basis.
