The low-cost Fung Wah bus service could soon be hitting the road again.
According to published reports, federal regulators have given the Boston-based company approval to resume operations sometime next year.
The federal government shut down Fung Wah in March 2013 for not complying with safety regulations.
The company was also involved in a series of accidents, including a deadly one in 2008 when a bus jumped the curb in Chinatown.
But the feds agreed to let Fung Wah reopen after approving its overhaul plan.
The plan calls for retraining drives, junking old buses and hiring a full time safety manager.
