  • Text size: + -

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority says no injuries have been reported after a minor train derailment at the St. George Ferry Terminal on Staten Island Thursday afternoon.

Service on all parts of the Staten Island Railway has resumed with residual delays as of midnight Thursday.

The agency says the last car of a four-car train derailed as it approached the terminal around 1:48 p.m.

The MTA says 90 customers, including eight who were in the derailed car, were removed and escorted to the St. George station.

The cause of the incident is under investigation.
