Staten Island Ferry riders can finally give their weary legs a rest at the Whitehall terminal.

The two "up" escalators at the station are now up and running after a long repair project.

The equipment passed inspection by the Department of Buildings this week and were turned on shortly thereafter.

The down escalators are still being worked on.

The escalators have been out of commission since Hurricane Sandy flooded the Whitehall Terminal causing $2 million worth of damage.
