The Taxi and Limousine Commission has approved a rule change intended to salvage its Taxi of Tomorrow program.

A court ruled in October that the TLC could not require taxi owners to purchase the Nissan NV200, so the new rule instead mandates that vehicles be crash-tested with the partition installed.

The NV200 is the only vehicle that qualifies.
