Metro-North officials say regular service will resume on the Hudson Line Friday, more than one week after a freight train derailment in the Bronx.
Crews have been working after 10 p.m. each night to make repairs, forcing customers to take shuttle buses.
The MTA, though, says that relief is in sight, with all three remaining cars on the track expected to be removed by Friday.
Repairs will continue during the weekend, with substitute busing in effect, so that trains can be back in full service on Monday.
