Straphangers who rely on the G train to get around on the weekend may have to come up with some other ways to get around.
Starting this weekend, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority will begin repairs on the Greenpoint Tube that allows trains to travel between Brooklyn and Queens.
The tunnel was badly damaged during Hurricane Sandy when 3 million gallons of water came rushing in.
The repairs are expected to take a total of 12 weekends to complete.
While most of the closures will impact summer travel, they are spread out through December.
During the repairs, trains will operate between Church Avenue and Nassau Avenue in Brooklyn with no service at the Greenpoint Avenue Station or into Queens.
