Another option for riders who use the G train is said to be in the works.

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority and the city Department of Transportation are in talks to speed up the expansion of the Citi Bike share program to reach Long Island City and Greenpoint.

It's to help G train commuters who use the Greenpoint Avenue, 21st Street and Court Square stops.

All will be shut down for repairs over 12 weekends starting July 6.

Greenpoint and Long Island City were both supposed to be included in the initial Citi Bike launch, but the original plan was scaled back after Hurricane Sandy.
