Tuesday was a little smoother for air travelers, but the Federal Aviation Administration warns that travelers could see flight delays anytime.

Officials say because of the federal sequester, air traffic controllers are being forced to take unpaid time off.

That means planes have to be spaced farther apart, creating big backlogs.

Transportation secretary Ray LaHood says only Congress can restore the FAA's funding, but federal lawmakers from both parties say the FAA could find other ways to cut costs.
