An emergency Staten Island ferry service launched after Hurricane Sandy is coming to an end.
The temporary service from Great Kills Park to Pier 11 in Manhattan will stop running on January 26.
It was launched in November to aid Staten Islanders struggling to get around after the storm.
Transportation officials said they decided against extending the eight-week run because the service went under-used, with an average of 114 riders each day.
Borough President James Molinaro and the Department of Transportation said they will explore alternatives for Staten Island commuters.
