NY1 VIDEO: As NY1 revisits its 20-year history, the station looks back at reporter Paul Fleuranges' August 16, 1993 coverage of the surfacing of Harvey Weinstein, a well-to-do tuxedo maker who was kidnapped, ransomed and held underground in a pit for 12 days.

NY1 FOLLOW-UP: In total, five people were arrested in connection to Weinstein's kidnapping. All five were convicted and saw jail time. Fermin Rodriguez, Mr. Weinstein's former factory worker and the ringleader of the group, is still serving a sentence of 20 years to life. Mr. Weinstein himself lived in Manhattan until his death in 2007. He was 82.
