Sources say a man has been arrested for firing a shot on Saturday outside the club where a 14-year-old Queens girl was attending a party, just hours before she was shot while riding a bus.
Police are trying to determine if the unidentified suspect knows anything about the death of D'aja Robinson, who was shot around 9 p.m. Saturday as she was coming home on a Q6 bus from a friend's Sweet 16 party.
Of the nine rounds fired at the Q6 bus near Sutphin and Rockaway Boulevards in Jamaica, one of those bullets hit D'aja in the head.
Sources tell NY1 the man in custody is a gang member but is not thought to be responsible for the girl's death.
The teenager's funeral will be held at noon Friday at the Greater Allen A.M.E. Cathedral of New York, in the Jamaica section of Queens.
