The city says it is making progress installing pre-fabricated bathrooms on the Brighton Beach boardwalk.

In the meantime the Parks Department plans to install temporary bathrooms promised after Hurricane Sandy on a section of the boardwalk.

The permanent facilities will look like ones already installed in Queens.

There is no timeline for completion, but 35 buildings are eventually planned citywide.

The facilities are elevated to withstand heavy flooding, and some will also include lifeguard stands and maintenance facilities.
