A Bronx family returned a big favor for the Fourth of July by hosting a party for volunteers who helped them rebuild after Hurricane Sandy.

Sharon and Nelson DeGracia were recently able to move back into their Edgewater Park home for the first time since the storm.

"I didn't know that so many people cared and that was awesome. So this is the first time we're able to have a barbecue and we just wanted to share it with everybody involved," said Sharon DeGracia

"Took us six weeks to put it back together, from scratch to finish, electrical, plumbing, everything in six weeks. We had people from all over coming in - volunteers, workers, contractors, everybody we managed to pull it all together," said Walter Acevedo of Acevedo Contracting.

Sandy flooded the home with about three and a half feet of water, ruining almost everything inside.
