Wednesday was the deadline for city-wide pre-K enrollment, and the Department of Education is touting an increase in the numbers.
More than 41,000 families applied for pre-K, which is more than 10,000 more than last year.
Right now, the DOE has more than 20,000 full-day pre-K seats available, but the city plans to bump that up 53,000 seats and will need even more applications to fill them.
If you missed the application deadline, you can apply directly at schools from June 9 to June 20.
