Some city high schools are getting high marks from U.S. News and World Report.

Nine of them made the magazine's latest top 10 list of the best high schools in New York State.

Taking first place is the High School of American Studies at Lehman College in the Bronx.

U.S. News also ranked the school 32nd out of more than 19,000 across the country.

Rounding out the top five are the Bronx High School of Science, the Brooklyn Latin School, the High School for Dual Language and Asian Studies in Manhattan, and Townsend Harris High School in Queens. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
