A deep sinkhole caused by a water main break in Washington Heights swallowed up the tire of a city school bus Tuesday as kids were heading to school.
It happened around 8 a.m.
The Department of Education says the bus was carrying nine children and four aides when its rear wheel got stuck.
It happened at the intersection of Broadway and West 164th Street.
Officials say a tow truck, a replacement driver and the fire department were all called to the scene.
No injuries were reported.
A construction crew got to work fixing the hole within a few hours.
