Starting this year, students in third through 12th grades will be asked to grade their teachers.

The Department of Education said it'll be asking for nearly $6 million to get a yearly study off the ground.

The survey could ask students to evaluate their teachers in seven areas, such as how much they care about students or how well they challenge them.

The survey will count for 5 percent of teachers' official evaluations, but not until the 2014 school year. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
