Police Commissioner Ray Kelly had some choice words for Mayor-elect Bill de Blasio and the Democratic candidates for mayor in a recent interview with Playboy magazine.

Kelly defended the New York City Police Department's controversial stop-and-frisk policy.

In response to criticism from de Blasio and the other Democratic candidates, Kelly said, "They were pandering to get votes. Whoever wins the primary always attempts to run back to the center and disavow the impact of what they've said."

He also said, "Notice what they never talk about—the lives being saved...Last year the homicide rate was the lowest in at least 50 years. And this year we're running about 30 percent below that."

Kelly also said that since the September 11th attacks, 16 terrorist attacks have been prevented in the city.
