Three men including an auxiliary police officer were arrested Tuesday after posing as police to cut the line to buy a new video game.

The New York City Police Department says 19-year-olds Frank Santanastaso and Kirolos Abdel Sayed, and 20-year-old Matthew Kirsheh are charged with criminal impersonation.

Police say they pulled up to the Staten Island Mall just before midnight Tuesday in a car that looked like an unmarked police car and had been bought at a police auction.

Authorities say one of the men flashed a fake police shield to get inside the mall and asked if he could buy a copy of the new game, Grand Theft Auto 5.

The manager saw Abdel Sayed's auxiliary badge and approved the purchase.

The men were arrested after police saw them make an illegal U-turn outside the mall. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
