As Nancy Gonzalez, the Department of Corrections guard believed to be pregnant with the child of a convicted killer, pleaded not guilty in Brooklyn today to having sex with prison inmates, government sources told NY1 that she has tested positive for cocaine use.

Prosecutors say Gonzalez, a 29-year-old former guard at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Correctional Center who is nine months pregnant, failed the drug test a couple of weeks ago.

Gonzalez, seen above center, is believed by prosecutors to be carrying the child of Ronell Wilson, who is imprisoned for killing two NYPD detectives, James Nemorin and Rodney Andrews, on Staten Island during a gun buy-and-bust in 2003.

Authorities say Gonzalez also had sex with another inmate and revealed the second affair in a phone conversation with Wilson.

According to prosecutors, there is also video and other inmates' testimony of Gonzalez and Wilson entering and leaving an empty prison room several times.

Gonzalez's attorney, Anthony Ricco, dismissed the drug test results, saying his client is under stress from the whole trial process.

"She had one occasion where she tested positive. It was actually before she was arrested in connection with the case, it has to deal with the stress related to the investigation," Ricco said. "She's fine, she's going to treatment and she's getting there. She's got a long way to go."

Gonzalez is due back in court on March 20, which is coincidentally the same day that her baby is due. The court date may change, depending on when Gonzalez delivers her child, according to her attorney.

She faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
