While prosecutors probe the latest police-involved shooting of a man during a Queens traffic stop, a new report by the New York City Police Department finds police shootings continue to decline.

According to the Annual Firearms Discharge Report, 62 officers fired their weapons last year, killing nine suspects and wounding 19 more -- the second-lowest annual toll in recent history.

The report also finds more than two-thirds of the officers involved fired five shots or less; a quarter fired only one round.

None of the officers reloaded their weapons.

The NYPD says the findings are an "impressive record of firearms control."
