Witness statements may help with the defense of three men charged with the deaths of two firefighters in the August 2007 Deutsche Bank building fire.
Jeffrey Melofchik, Mitchell Alvo and Salvatore Depaola are accused of dismantling a water pipe, which left the firefighters without water to fight the fire. But witnesses say the pipe was still standing after they finished their asbestos abatement.
Robert Beddia and Joseph Graffagnino were killed in the fire.
The John Galt Corporation has also been indicted on the same charges.
A lawyer for one of the defendants says he is happy the district attorney's office finally admitted there are witnesses who saw the pipe was not taken down.
Melofchik, Alvo and Depaola face five to 15 years in prison.
The John Galt Corporation faces a $10,000 fine.
