The German Defense Ministry said Tuesday it has dismissed the instructor seen in a video telling soldiers to imagine firing at blacks in the Bronx as part of their training.

The video angered many Bronx residents and lawmakers.

A ministry spokesman say the instructor was let go under a provision that allows the army to fire anyone who violates service obligations or whose service would harm the order or reputation of the military.

The video first surfaced on German television last week and made its way to the internet, which led Bronx Borough President Adolfo Carrion, Junior, to demand an apology and call for discipline.

The German government called the video “absolutely unacceptable.”

The soldier in the clip is still being investigated.
