There has been a delay in the digital message boards that were supposed to be installed on the subway platforms, and the MTA said Friday that they are searching for another company to take over the job.

A Germany based company, Siemens, which won a city contract to outfit subway platforms, cannot seem to make the high-tech signs work.

The city has already paid Siemens $45-million of its $160-million contract.

Siemens says it will be able to complete the project as promised.

In the meantime, New York City Transit has already begun searching for other companies to take over.

They have not paid Siemens since May.
