Looking for some delicious eats right across the East River? In this Queens Week
report, Zagat.com has some mouth-watering suggestions.
21-50 44th Drive
Zagat says this new Long Island City upscale Italian restaurant transports diners to a Tuscan countryside. They add this is the perfect lunch escape for suits who work nearby. And Zagat.com says come nighttime customers can loosen their ties and relax in the ivy-walled, villa vibe garden.
Da Gianni's has yet to be rated, but prices here are moderate.
44th Drive & East River
Zagat says this big-bucks New American seafooder is where fans can "fall in love" with both the "surprisingly good" dishes and the "extraordinary view" of Manhattan. Surveyors say the complimentary water taxi from Midtown right to the Water's Edge dock is a "great extra."
Out of a possible 30, Water's Edge receives a 22 for food, a 25 for decor and a 23 for service. Expect to spend about $60 a meal here.
