Police are searching for a man they say disappeared earlier this month from a health care center in Manhattan that came under fire in January after the disappearance and death of a 9-year-old child.
Juan Oviedo, 40, was reported missing back on April 10th from the Terrence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center on the Upper East Side. Law enforcement sources say Oviedo’s mental condition is poor and that he's wandered off from the facility in the past.
While no picture is available, Oviedo is described as being 5’ 5” with brown eyes and black hair. He was last scene wearing a yellow shirt and grey sweat pants.
If you have any information on his whereabouts, you are asked to call the Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS.
In January, 9-year-old Frashawn Jones was discovered dead after authorities say he wandered off from the Terrence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center and ended up tumbling down a hospital laundry chute.
