The 9/11 Commission has released two additional reports, one on terrorism financing and the other on customs failures.
The first staff report concludes that immigration officials apparently did not see or act on warning signs on the hijackers' passports and entry documents. The lapses included missing information on the visa applications of all 19 hijackers.
The commission also found that three of the Saudi passports had a "possible extremist indicator" frequently seen on passports belonging to Al Qaeda members.
The second report found that most of the hijackers' money came from Al Qaeda. According to the commission, there is no evidence their funding came from anyone in the United States or any other country.
