Hundreds of family, friends, rescue workers and city officials gathered in Queens Sunday as a street was renamed for a man killed in September 11, 2001, attacks.
Manse Street between 68th Avenue and 69th Avenue in Forest Hills is now known as Stephen G. Hoffman Way. Hoffman, who worked at Cantor Fitzgerald in the World Trade Center, grew up on the street with 12 siblings, including his twin.
“It's an honor and privilege to come down this block and look up and be able see Stephen’s name, because he's here,” said the twin brother, Greg.
Hoffman is survived by his wife and daughter.
