Just three days after laying the first piece of the Freedom Tower, Governor George Pataki made another cornerstone announcement Wednesday.
Robert Balachandran has been appointed to the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation's Board of Directors. Pataki says Balachandran's vision will be vital in the rebuilding of downtown.
Balachandran comes from Bear Sterns, where he started working in February of 2004 after serving as president and CEO of the Hudson River Park Trust since 1999.
