Lego maniacs are showing off their building skills in a charity challenge in Chelsea.

Adding to a miniature Statue of Liberty and Empire State Building, Lego fan Sean Kenney recreated a small slice of New York City.

“I am making a model inspired by Greenwich Village,” he explained. “I love New York; I grew up around this area. I wander around the Village and get inspired by what I see. These are not models of particular buildings, but instead it’s a diorama that tries to capture the hustle and bustle and charm of the West Village."

The creations will be on display at the Altman Building Tuesday night, and they will be auctioned next month on eBay to benefit a number of charities. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
