The New York City Police Department has released a sketch as they hunt for a man they say tried to kidnap a girl in Queens earlier this week.

Investigators say at about 6:30 p.m. Monday the man tried to wave a 7-year-old girl over to his car near the corner of Corona Avenue and National Street.

When the girl refused, he fled in his Black Toyota Camry, going south on National Street.

The suspect's car is believed to be a 2012-2014 four-door model, with tinted windows and New York State license plates.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
