A man is in the hospital after being shot by police in Harlem Thursday afternoon.

According to authorities, the officer caught up to him and another struggle ensued, and the police officer fired one round into the man's chest.
"You can hear them up here. He's yelling, he's yelling. You could hear two people yelling, going back and forth, back and forth, and then, next thing you know, pow," one witness said.
"We were sitting back there having a cigarette, and we heard when the, I guess it was an officer, he said, 'Drop the gun' three times, and then, all you heard just one gunshot, pop, that's it. And then, these people came from all over," another witness said.
The 28-year-old victim was taken to Harlem Hospital, where he's listed in stable condition.
The officer was also taken to St. Luke's Hospital for facial injuries.
