Mayor Bill de Blasio is still trying to sell the the organizers of the 2016 Democratic National Convention on New York, but he has already sold New Yorkers on it.

A new poll from Quinnipiac University finds two-thirds of New Yorkers want the city to host the 2016 DNC.

That includes 78 percent of Democrats.

The mayor was at Barclay's Center in Brooklyn last month, trying to convince Democratic Committee leaders the borough would be a good home for the political convention.

Forty-seven percent of poll respondents told Quinnipiac they would rather see the convention in Brooklyn than in Manhattan - that includes over a half of the Manhattanites who answered.

The Democratic National Committee is still deciding between cities like Philadelphia; Birmingham, Alabama; Columbus, Ohio; and Phoenix, Arizona. ClientIP:, UserAgent: CCBot/2.0 ( Profile: TWCSAMLSP
