If you're looking to enjoy some of the city's 14 miles of waterfront, then look no further than Hudson River Park.
The New York Kayak Company rents gear and teaches kayak lessons, but it has also invented a new game called Kayabi, which is basically dodge-ball played in kayaks.
Randy Henriksen, the company's owner, says any group with a reservation can get in the water and pelt each other with rubber playground balls.
"It's played in short, stable kayaks in a court with floating boundaries and instead of eliminating players, we keep score. And it's a real action-packed, fast-moving game with scores over 200 points sometimes," Henriksen says.

The park also hosts stand-up paddle-board yoga classes.
There's also sailing, swimming and other fun activities available.
