A new poll suggests Mayor Bill de Blasio's approval rating is mostly intact.

A Quinnipiac University survey released Tuesday finds 50 percent of voters think he is doing a good job.

His rating is only down one percent from the same poll, released on June 11. Since then, a city budget deal was struck, the mayor vacationed in Italy, and Eric Garner died after being placed in an alleged chokehold by a police officer.

The survey did find there is a racial divide in favor of the mayor.

Sixty-five percent of black voters support de Blasio, while only 36 percent of white voters feel the same.

The survey of 1,021 registered voters has a margin of error of plus or minus 3.1 percentage points.
