An investigation is underway after a Bronx baby died while her mother waited almost a half hour for help to arrive.
Julia Knight says she put baby Isabella Glover to sleep on her back, sources say, in the same bed she slept in.
She says she woke up to find Isabella on her stomach and unresponsive. Knight says the dispatcher tried walking her through CPR.
Knight says she spent close to 25 minutes on the phone while arguing over her address.
According to her, the operator said her home on East 169th Street was a "bad address."
"Got to the hospital and they were working on her. I was watching the screen. It was going up and down, up and down. The numbers on the side said 75 then 65 then 62 and then there was a line. That's when I knew my baby died. That's when the doctor pronounced the time of death at 8:10 am," Kight said.
The dispatcher, who is an NYPD employee, has been reassigned.
There is still no official cause for the baby's death.
The Administration for Children's Services is also investigating.
